About ICSI

The ICSI is a research organization active in the fields of ceramic & glass science and technology. It was founded some 40 years ago, by the Israeli government, with aid from the UN. The research effort is focused on advanced functional ceramics. It regards development of new materials, improved processing routes and a better understanding of composition-structure-properties correlation. Located in the campus of the Technion, ICSI researchers cooperate with various teams of Israel’s premiere technical university, as well as other research institutions operating in Israel or abroad.
